Chief Justice Harris Hines Awards
In 2017, J4C (in conjunction with the Office of the Child Advocate) introduced the Chief Justice Harris Hines Awards. Chief Justice Hines served as the Chairman of the Committee on Justice for Children for 16 years, and continues to be a strong supporter of court improvement for Juvenile Courts. We honor his work and commitment by giving an annual award in his name to a child welfare case manager and to a child welfare attorney who set forward the goals of court improvement and better outcomes for foster children. Nominations are open for the 2018 Hines Awards, to be given at the Annual Meeting of the State Bar of Georgia.
